How Gambit works

Gambit is where you decide what is worth building before work hits Linear, Jira, or GitHub.

1. Capture signals

A signal is a scrap of evidence: a quote, a link, a support thread, a note from a call. Capture freely. When scraps start to point at the same problem, attach them to a brief.

2. Name briefs

A brief is a thin bet on a problem or chance you might pursue. Keep it cheap. Most briefs should never become a pitch.

3. Write a pitch when the case is strong

A pitch is the commitment document. It restates the problem, names constraints and appetite, and says what is out of scope. Writing one should feel deliberate. Healthy discovery has many briefs for each pitch you present.

4. After a pitch is accepted

An accepted pitch breaks into issues you refine, then export into your tracker. Delivery (sprints and releases) stays in the tracker for now. Gambit is the discovery workspace, not a second backlog.

Signals and Briefs are live today. Pitches are next.
